About Turkmenistan

Ancient Silk Road crossroads. UNESCO world heritage. Surreal desert landscapes. Genuine hospitality.

The Land

A Country Unlike Any Other

Turkmenistan sits at the heart of ancient Central Asia — a land shaped by Silk Road empires, nomadic traditions, and a vast desert that has sheltered civilizations for millennia. From the futuristic white marble of Ashgabat to the timeless ruins of Merv, every corner reveals a story.

Three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, dramatic canyon landscapes on the Caspian shore, the legendary Darvaza Gas Crater, prehistoric mountains at Koytendag, and vibrant bazaars — Turkmenistan rewards those who come prepared.

Best travel seasons: March–May (Spring) and September–November (Autumn). Summer desert temperatures can exceed 40°C.
